The Service:

Subject to specific Conditions, Exclusions, and Limitations, and following the correct procedure, we commit to covering the costs of repairs by an approved repairer or product replacement when we authorize it. The decision to provide these benefits, and to what extent, lies solely with us and will be in compliance with the terms of this Repair Plan. Any assistance provided under this plan is at the sole discretion of Care Guard Solutions, within the limits set forth herein.

Please be aware, the plans we offer are not classified as insurance products and thus are not subject to insurance regulations. They are service contracts governed by UK service contract laws and regulations.

Payments:

We accept Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards for payments. Charges will be listed on your statement as "CAREGUARDSOLUTIONS."

In case of a breakdown of the equipment within your home during the protection period, we will either repair it or provide compensation according to the settlement terms. Each protection plan covers one item, which must be installed at the address provided in your certificate/schedule. For coverage of multiple items like electrical systems or drainage systems, you may purchase additional individual plans.

Repair Conditions

Should you experience a breakdown, inform the Administrator promptly, ideally within seven days of noticing the issue.

The Administrator will attempt to secure a suitable tradesman, barring hindrances such as:

  • Adverse weather conditions
  • Industrial disputes
  • Public transport system failures, including roads
  • Other circumstances preventing access to your home or making service provision impractical

The company reserves the right to:

  • Decline requests if the home or services have not been maintained safely or serviceably
  • Proportionately settle costs if you have a similar plan for the same service
  • Require you to pay the excess if your claim cost exceeds the plan's cover (£1000.00)

We will arrange for the supply and installation of replacement parts or components as needed for repair. Requests for additional work or higher-specification parts will incur extra charges. We are not responsible for delays or damages resulting from delayed part supplies from manufacturers.

General Conditions

The contract may be void unless agreed to the following:

  • False or fraudulent statements void this contract, removing any repair or replacement obligations.
  • Reasonable precautions must be taken to protect and maintain the equipment safely.
  • In case of a valid claim, we have the right to recover costs in your name but at our expense.
  • The premium may include taxes we're required to collect by law.
  • This service is governed by UK law, unless agreed otherwise.
  • Rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 do not apply to this plan.

Fixed-Price Plan Details for Various Services

Home, Kitchen Appliance, Electronic/Device, Garden Equipment, Roof, Ceiling, Curtains/Carpets/Blinds/Upholstery, Home Structure, Window/Door, Electrical System: We will repair or replace items up to £1000.00 through our network of approved tradesmen. Specific covered and excluded instances vary by plan type but generally include mechanical failures or damage, with exclusions typically covering accidental damage, misuse, or cosmetic issues.

Cancellations & Refunds

A 14-day satisfaction guarantee allows for plan cancellation and a full refund within this period. For more details, visit our Cancellations & Refunds page.

Exclusions & Additional Services

The service will not cover products that were incorrectly installed or tampered with. We are not responsible for items outside the plan’s scope, such as carpets affected by leaks. An inspection by an approved engineer is part of the service, arranged at your convenience. No work will proceed without the plan holder’s permission, although findings will be reported back to us.
